Senior Accountant, Fortune 500 Business Unit Job in Towson, Maryland US

Our Fortune 500 global client is currently in search of a Senior Accountant for their growing business based in Maryland.  You will closely partner with Finance, Controllers and Operations to drive productivity and deliver the stated financial objectives.

 

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work in a business group and to evaluate current policies and procedures and make recommendations.  The company requires a person with innovative and creative ideas to increase the impact and efficiency of the group. 

 

This position has the primary responsibility for administration of  post close processes across regions including standardization of meetings, coordination and follow-up of open process improvements.  . Specific responsibilities include:

 

·         Post close administration including communications and standardization.

·         Business lead for all follow up matters coming out of post close meetings

·         Follow up on open matters including internal and external audit findings, or SOX controls items.

·         Ongoing maintenance of global Delegation of Authority.

·         Coordination with Shared Service Centers in the US and Europe.

·         Partner with finance leaders to ensure strong controllership and process harmonization.
