Job Title: Senior Accountant, Audit and Assurance

Position Type: Permanent full-time

Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for an Audit/Accounting Senior Accountant to join our team. The core skills and responsibilities of this position are:

• Leading and executing client engagements;
• Planning, preparation and execution of financial statements with appropriate note disclosures;
• Working with clients under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectors;
• Planning fieldwork assignments including budget and resource needs;
• Analysis and completion of corporate and personal income tax returns;
• Communicating with other members of the audit team to ensure client expectations are anticipated and managed in a timely manner;
• Communicating with more junior accounting staff to ensure they understand the engagement, and the needs of the client;
• Analyze financial statements

Qualification:
- 1-2 years of post-designation experience (A new graduate or candidate who has just written the UFE this fall will also be considered)

- At least 2 years public practice experience in Audits/Reviews of small business

- Strong work ethic, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to work independently with minimum supervision; and
- Strong interest in professional development and coaching and committed to personal growth.

Job Description:
The Audit / Accounting Manager will work in a dynamic team environment with many opportunities to coach and mentor junior staff. This position will also have opportunities to lead through challenging issues and to work closely with the Partners in the firm.
