Skills and specializations
Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance, CPA a plus.
Experience in joint interest billing, revenue accounting and oil and gas operational accounting.
Big 4 or large regional firm accounting considered in lieu of oil and gas industry experience .
Knowledge of ERP systems.
Advanced Excel skills such as V-lookups, Pivot tables, charts and graphs, etc.
Duties and responsibilities
Record daily general ledger transactions using the ERP system.
Process monthly accruals, prepaid and depreciation/amortization
Reconcile balance sheet accounts to the general ledger
Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Analyze monthly department overhead variance reports, identify significant variances and discuss with management
