Senior Accountant Job in San Diego 92121, California US
Senior Accountant needed for a project with a large, stable, publicly traded company. This role will involve corporate GL accounting functions, and will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities will include financial statement preparation including consolidated financials, preparation of work papers for annual audit, drafting of 10K’s and 10Q’s, working with external auditors to support the annual audit, account reconciliations, variance analysis, posting of journal entries, intercompany transations, SOX compliance, SEC reporting and ad hoc projects.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
· CPA preferred
· 5-10 years of accounting experience, preferably to include large, corporate experience
· Experience in public accounting strongly desired
· Software proficiency in Oracle or SAP desired
· Strong technical expertise to include advanced Microsoft Excel
