A global diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products with a substantial presence in a number of focussed niche markets. The company is seeking an experienced senior accountant to join the team at the Belgium facility.
Job Description
Working directly to the Financial Controller Belgium Netherlands, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of financial and management accounting for the company's commercial entities at Wavre in Belgium and Waalwijk in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities will include:
• Assisting in the preparation, analysis and interpretation of financial statements and management accounts
• Ensuring that all financial accounting deadlines are met
• Assisting and supporting in the compilation of business budgets and forecasts
• Ensuring that financial records are maintained to required internal and external standards
• Ensuring that there are management controls in place which satisfy the requirement of Sarbanes-Oxley
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of business processes and systems
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate has
• A bachelor degree in Accounting
• A good knowledge of SOX
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in management accounting / financial management
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong IT skills (excel, hyperion ideally)
• A good knowledge of BE GAAP
• An excellent knowledge (spoken and written)of Dutch and English and ideally French
The role is based at the Wavre office, and the candidate must be willing to travel to Waalwijk once a week.
