Our client is an international Bank. For their operations in Luxembourg we are seeking to recruit a:
Senior Accountant
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Create and distribute financial reports outlining the performance of Bank’s existing portfolios
• Provide ad-hoc requests for analysis and / or information to support business development
• Analyze profitability of Bank’s portfolios, products and channels
• Analyze and explain major variances between budget and actual results, focusing on yields
• Contribute to the pricing process for Bank’s owned portfolios
• Participate within Bank monthly reporting process, focusing on Portfolio activities.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
• Degree in Accounting / Finance discipline or equivalent experience (University Degree 4 years or equivalent)
• 5 to 8 years experience in accounting or auditing
• Experience in financial accounting assignments
• Understanding of financial concepts such as Budgets, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Return on Investment (ROI), Operating Return on Assets (OROA), Shareholder Value Added (SVA)
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
• Understanding of the integrated systems of internal control necessary to operate in a regulated business environment
• Fluent in English
• Another European language such as German, Spanish, Italian or French would be a plus
• Computer literate (Microsoft office, Hyperion Essbase, Discoverer or Oracle a plus)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Highly organised, strong interpersonal skills and self motivated
• High sense of responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
