Senior Accountant/Accountant III (Mortgage)
Sidus Financial, a wholly owned subsidiary of Yadkin Valley Bank, is seeking a qualified mortgage accountant. Sidus operates as the mortgage division of Yadkin Valley Bank and originates loans in NC, SC and VA.
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting Required
5+ years of Accounting Experience Required
CPA Preferred
Experience in Mortgage Accounting Required
Experience with AMB a plus
Responsibilities:
Oversee Accounting Clerks
Approve and reconcile monthly Journal Entries
Performs duties in compliance with GAAP
Ensure processes comply with company policy, internal controls and regulatory requirements
Develop procedures to streamline entries into G/L through imports
Assist with the preparation of period end financial statements
Assist with the month end G/L close process
Performs periodic ad hoc reporting to fulfill regulatory and counterparty requirements
Must have the ability to make strategic recommendations regarding processes and standardization of financial reporting
