Senior Accountant/Analyst
A leading company in the marketplace with international operations is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant/Analyst for its management reporting team. This position supports the Controller in the day to day accounting and analysis of financial results, with a heavy emphasis on preparing the SEC financial reporting package.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- All aspects of the month end close process, including assisting in the preparation of financial statements (10K, 10Q according to SEC and GAAP requirements)
- Financial statement analysis – comparison of actual results to budget and forecast and reporting results and analysis to upper level management
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations and various trend analysis
- Recording of journal entries and booking of accruals
- General Ledger maintenance
- Develop new and enhanced management reporting including graphs, tables, charts and ad-hoc reports
- Work with daily finance and accounting team to develop efficient methods of collecting, organizing and disseminating financial information to management
- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred
- 3-7 years of accounting experience required.
- Conscientious, detailed and willing to improve processes
- Experience working with a large ERP system preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
