Senior Accounting Analyst 10-32688550
A large service company is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst. This position is located in Chicago and will report to the International Accounting manager.
Responsibilities:
- Process and review income statements and monthly balance sheets
- Analyze and prepare suggestions concerning requirements, operating forecasts, financial and new business plans
- Report any budget variances and financial changes
- Provide assistance on planning and forecasting and report important variances
- Clear variances by reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Evaluate cost, revenues, trends, and financial responsibilities, which will foresee upcoming expenses and revenues
- Make certain data is recorded within reporting systems
- Ensure data is accurately reported and SOX policies and procedures are met
- Ensure assignments are compliant with company controls and policies
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, minimum 3 years accounting or financial analysis experience, CPA, MBA, or CMA is ideal, good understanding of accounting and finance principals, SOX knowledge required, Microsoft Office, Hyperion, or other software experience is helpful, exceptional analytical, organizational, strong attention to detail, and time management skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and strong communication skills.
