Senior Accounting Manager Job in Salt Lake City 84047, Utah US
The School Improvement Network was founded in 1991 to Provide Solutions to Increase Learning in Today’s Schools. This rapidly growing organization is looking for an outstanding Sr. Accounting Manager to manage the day-to-day accounting functions of the company by maintaining and producing financial information and accounting tasks of company accounts and records. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
• Operation of daily accounting functions, period closings, and projects as assigned
• Assist in the development and maintenance of financial reporting systems to insure timeliness and integrity of financial reporting based on accounting procedures and controls
• Assist in the preparation of Financial Reports, Budgets, Tax (payroll, income sales), Payroll, etc.
• Ability to drive innovative ideas to improve productivity and efficiency
• Team-lead with the ability to lead and train team members
• Ability to fill in when the Controller is absent or unable to perform certain tasks
• Reviews and authorizes disbursements
Qualifications
• BS in Accounting or related field/experience
• 3-5 years of experience with accounting, audit, payroll, tax, and budgets
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills
• Production of accurate and timely financial data and reports
• Compliance with all financial rules and regulations
• Manage financial risk and equity transaction
• Supervisory/Mentoring
• Payroll and Payroll accounting
• Sales and income tax (state and federal)
• GAAP and International Accounting Standards
