We are currently seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Corporate Accounting team.  The Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for compiling and maintaining accounts payable records by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for Accounts Payable entry, analysis and reporting.  Experience in SAP processing preferred.

 

Processes invoices and expense reports.

 

Maintains vendor master files and W-9 compliance.

 

Work with vendors and internal customers to answers inquiries and provide proper guidance in problem resolution.

 

Coordinate with internal buyers and other personnel to process purchase order transactions and institute proper three way match processing.

 

Analyzes vendor accounts and works with purchasing to extended terms with vendors.

 

Processes accounts payable payment selection and payment processing reports.

 

Prints and analyzes various accounts payable reports and maintains accounts payable files.

 

Prepares analysis of accounts and/or vendors as required.

 

Performs monthly account/payable closing.

 

Communicate clearly and effectively with vendors and internal customers.

 

Assists with 1099 reporting and special projects, as necessary.

 

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience 

Associate’s Degree or related experience.   Accounts Payable experience in an SAP environment preferred. 

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.


Reasoning Ability 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
