Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for acting as a validator in a senior capacity within the Corporate Actions Processing teams. This includes, validate accurate tendering of client instructions, assisting with monitoring daily proceeds from multiple depositories to ensure timely posting, consistency and completeness of payments, as well as assisting with the flow of client inquiries received within the processing team.
Primary responsibilities
- Efficiency / Productivity
- All instructions received are authorised same day, or in accordance with policies and procedures where same day execution can not occur
- Ensure all notifications are validated in a timely manner
- Validate all client entitlements in an accurate and timely manner on date of receipt, or in accordance with policies and procedures where same day execution can not occur
- Assuring that the posting of lending positions is executed same day as non-lending entitlement
- Follow-up on all outstanding entitlements, to ensure each account has been fully accounted for, executing claims where necessary
- Problem Resolution / Risk Management
- Escalate all critical issues identified to the Manager/Senior Manager to ensure risk containment and client satisfaction
- Monitor all cash and asset breaks and ensure items are cleared in accordance with documented timelines in policy procedures
- Ensure Customer Service Team is properly informed about operational issues and feedback on clients queries is provided.
- Ensure that at the end of the day all checks are done and check list filled in
- Where Errors and Omissions (EOs) assist with resolution under direction from Manager to ensure timely corrections in accordance with standards set
