Chevron's Energy Technology Company (ETC) is accepting online applications for the position of Senior Advisor - Completion Engineering to be located in Houston, Texas.

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • The Senior Advisor will work on MCP teams within Chevron operating companies (Opco) and Asset teams with additional special projects associated with Business Development as required. This position is process focused and results driven and will assist with adoption of technologies that intersect our business challenges. The person in this role may be required to travel to Opco locations to perform studies with project teams in support of field development. Average travel time for team members is 15-20%.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering
  • Accomplished expert with advanced technical and operational knowledge of horizontal/ML well bore design, smart well completions, complex well design, completion equipment selection, reliability, well test equipment selection experience, material and tubular design experience and Deepwater/HPHT well completion experience. High levels of industry proficiency and recognition. Well site drilling, completion and/or remedial operations a plus, production engineering experience desirable. Integration of equipment, wellhead/subsea tree interface a plus.
  • Innovative and collaborative thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong, established network with other completion engineers, both internal and external to CVX, and service provider/business partner personnel. Position requires strong presention skills and expectation is to communicate effectively with technical groups/committees, Regulatory agencies, Management, and Peers. Mentoring and Knowledge transfer are critical additional skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others to achieve Company/SBU goals. Strong business and customer focus. Actively shares Best Practices and lessons learned. Project Management and Technology Development experience required. Proven Leadership and MCP experience with prior Chevron Supervision a plus.
