Project Unicorn is a global programme which will enable the transfer of assets and liabilities from RBS NV to RBS plc. Unicorn is significantly complex in APAC with business spanning approximately 150 legal entities and 9 countries. APAC Unicorn Programme requires strong leadership to deliver the transfer of branch assets and subsidiaries in Indonesia and Thailand in 2012.
Description:
To assist the head of Loans Agency APAC oversee, manage, and develop the agency product in the APAC region.
To execute front office agency role in connection with syndicated loan transactions.
- Man management responsibilities for all team members;
- Assist department head in ensuring department complies with all group policies, standards guidelines;
- Assist department head in ensuring department complies with all local and international obligations, rules and reporting requirements;
- Assist department head in ensuring department maintains and operates Agency best working practice codes of conduct;
- Assist department head in ensuring all department financial targets are met (both in terms of revenue costs);
- Assist department head build and develop the agency product in the APAC region;
- Assist department head to represent the bank in any regional trade bodies in relation to the Agency product;
- To provide transaction management and co-ordination services to originators, borrowers, lenders and export credit agencies in respect of syndicated loans;
- To act as relationship manager for all agency clients, and take overall responsibility for the agency product to external and internal clients;
- Review and negotiate draft loan documentation prior to financial close;
- Facilitate waivers and amendments;
- Monitor borrower compliance with facility terms and conditions;
- Liaison with external professional advisers, such as lawyers and technical insurance advisers; and
- Liaison with lenders in relation to all commercial, legal and technical issues arising under the syndicated facility.
Requirements
The Ideal candidate will have experience in one of the following areas:
- Credit Portfolio Management
- Agency front office
- Middle Office documentation
- Risk Management; or
- Relationship Management
