SENIOR ANALYST – LIFE recruitment
Reporting to the Head of Modelling Services, the Senior Analyst will play a leading role in servicing life insurance clients, focussing on the Life insurance sector. They will be responsible for managing a team of analysts in the performance of a number of key functions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of 4-5 analysts whom are involved in providing expert technical support and training across the range of risk-modelling products and services and delivering stochastic model calibrations, ESG scenario-sets and other technical services.
- Daily supervision and performance management of the team, coaching and developing your team member.
- Managing client relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring Service Level Agreements and client delivery standards have been exceeded.
- Working with Client Service Associates in the delivery of expert modelling support to the sales and CRM activities across the EMEA region. This may involve taking part in client meetings and running training workshops.
- You will be involved in identifying issues with working practice and working collaboratively within the team and implementing solutions and improvements in processes and procedures.

Core Requirements:
- First degree with post-graduate qualification PHD, MSC in relevant discipline.
- Professional Qualifications e.g. FIA, FFA, MBA, FRM, CFA.
- Experience of managing an analytical team to deliver results to multiple stakeholders/clients.
- Strong understanding of advanced financial mathematics and or economics.
- A good understanding of relevant financial industries (insurance, pensions and/or retail product), product types and regulatory environment.
- Ability to rapidly develop high quality spreadsheets and applications which are consistent with BH standards and use ESG/calibration APIs.
- Strong understanding of stochastic modelling, and in particular its application within Life insurance (liability valuation, economic capital calculation, capital management).
