Senior Analyst
Aberdeen
- Base salary: Competitive
- Location: Aberdeen
- Work closely with CE Upstream Regional Finance teams to understand performance drivers
- Understanding of CE Upstream consolidated cost base both in terms of actuals and planned results
- Responsible for the management review of forecasts, highlighting trends and variances to the CE Upstream Head of Business Finance and Finance Director
- Ability to provide insight into where financial performance opportunities may exist
Manage the CE Upstream cost initiative by:
- Creating and maintaining visibility of Regional and Functional targets
- Working alongside CE Upstream Regional Finance teams to investigate trends and variances and suggest corrective actions plans where appropriate
- Maintain regular contact with CE Upstream Functional Directors to discuss performance against plan, reporting enhancements and business updates
- Develop analysis to support the financial debate on emerging strategic and business decisions
- Providing detailed regular reporting on progress to CEU Finance Director and ULT
Oversight for CE Upstreams time allocation process
- Work alongside CE Upstream AR Team to ensure that overall G+A costs are being correctly allocated
- Work alongside AR to discuss G+A reports with Regional and Functional budget holders
- Review and discuss G+A budgets forecasts with budget holders in support of LE processes
Assist the CE Upstream Business Finance team in the implementation of SAP
- Participate in SAP delivery workshops; ensuring that current deliverables are provided by SAP
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities through SAP implementation
- Assist the Business Finance team with the implementation of Investment Manager
Staff Management
- Manage and develop staff as required – objective setting, regular appraisals, setting Personal Development Plan and training
Other
- Work closely with wider Business Finance team to ensure month-end and cost analysis reporting is consistent with business expectations and high level variances are understood
- Ensure that CE Upstream forecasting accurately reflects all identified financial performance opportunities
- Support the development of AIS (“annual incentive scheme”) and Deferred Bonus Plan and co-ordinate performance tracking against targets.
- ACA or CIMA qualified or equivalent
- Demonstrated business-facing finance functional expertise Upstream value chain
- Experience in delivering financial performance
- Keen focus on delivery, accuracy and timeliness
- Multi-location experience desirable
