Senior Analyst

A large banking institution is looking to improve its capabilities in Credit Rating Agency (CRA) management and engagement. The role will sit within the Treasury function, which over the past few years has been the fastest growing.

This is team is responsible for maintaining and managing the relationships with credit rating agencies as well as the bank.

The main responsibility of this role will be to organise the banks approach to each rating agency as well as influence and drive improvements achieve the best outcomes with the CRAs.

Responsibilities

§ Primarily
o Lead all aspects of identifying, socialising, and resolving CRA issues whilst shaping the specific approach to each rating agency and
o Initiate and lead the embedding of rating agency considerations within the Group to achieve best outcomes.
§ Lead creation and definition of high quality, insightful management reporting to senior stakeholders.
§ Lead definition of the banks position and lobby on CRA methodology changes and regulation
§ Provide insightful information, guidance and advice to influence CRA related decisions
§ Suggest and implement innovative and workable approaches on CRA-related issues
§ Stay abreast of changes to CRA regulation, methodology, culture, processes, and people
§ Assist on all aspects of the day-to-day CRA management, as required.

Requirements

§ Experience working at Moody's, SP, or Fitch essential, ideally with in-depth knowledge of CRA people, processes, culture, models and methodology as relates to banking and/or insurance ratings
§ Proven track record gained in a range of roles and/or depth of knowledge in CRA analysis
§ Experience working in a large, complex bank or insurer preferred
§ Regulatory capital knowledge useful
§ Excellent communication (including listening and presentation) skills preferred
§ Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels preferred
§ Ability to influence at senior levels helpful
