Senior Analyst / Analyst, Risk Governance and Policies recruitment
Successful candidates will have a proven track record of strategic thinking; strong collaboration, negotiation, and consensus-building skills; excellent writing skills; experience in delivering high quality products under tight time constraints and at least some experience in working across multiple business and risk disciplines. Knowledge of leading risk governance practices and the risks associated with insurance/financial services will be viewed favorably as well.
Tasks include:
* Collaborating within ERM and across corporate and business functions to develop and maintain corporate governance frameworks including risk management protocols, review and approval processes, and reporting structures;
* Contributing to dialogues concerning risk identification, documentation, and oversight;
* Working across functions and businesses to define and implement corporate governance committees and procedures; leveraging team and company resources to ensure relevant internal stake-holders are involved in the development of risk appetite and strategy;
* Drafting and/or revising key credit, insurance, market, and operational risk policies and procedures as well as policies relating to new product approval processes;
* Supporting the operations of select governance functions through charter development, agenda-setting, and report preparation;
* Preparing presentations for various internal audiences and external parties, including rating agencies and regulators;
* Analyzing laws and regulations to determine applicability to AIG's governance structure and business operations.
* Bachelors degree (Master's desirable) in business, economics, or comparable experience;
* 3-5 years of financial industry experience, preferably within a complex financial institution, insurance company, or consulting firm;
* Strong written and oral communication, negotiation, and consensus-building skills;
* High level of initiative required, including strong organizational skills exhibited through a proven ability to balance multiple projects at once, to prioritize appropriately, and to produce results under tight time constraints;
* Demonstrated experience preparing reports and presentations, extracting information from databases, and using the MS Office Suite of products; and
* Familiarity with insurance products and markets preferred, though familiarity with wide of array of financial products and markets is also acceptable.
