Senior Analyst – Asset Management Team – Major Project Finance/PFI Bank recruitment
THE FIRM
One of the leading banks in EMEA Structured Finance, our client has a huge portfolio of project finance assets across Infrastructure, Natural Resources and Energy. They are seeking candidates with 2/3 years' PF experience, who posses very strong credit/risk/modelling skills, to come and work within the team which assumes responsibility for risk exposures following the financial close of a deal.
THE ROLE
- Taking responsibility (Supervised) for day to day management of a portfolio of Transportation / Telecom Project Finance and Co-Investment assets .
- Preparing and processing credit submissions involving the effective use of Rating models, ensuring good co-ordination with Credit Department.
- Assessing the impact of risk relevant events on our lending exposures.
- Analysing reports (Financial and Technical).
- Processing waiver requests.
- Support in the negotiation and conclusion of legal documentation
- General account management.
- Managing and monitoring all risk aspects associated to the portfolios.
- Maintenance of Insurance management system as appropriate.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of Rating Models associated with Basel 2.
- Liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Adherence to internal credit policies, procedures and processes.
- To cooperate and build good working relationships with the Transportation team in the Structured Finance department to ensure smooth transaction handovers and effective on-going portfolio maintenance.
- Early identification and assessment of risk relevant events on a "no surprise basis".
- Develop a broader view on the bank's restructuring objectives / strategy (assessment of the bank's best interest and impact on gradings).
THE CANDIDATE
- Banking background, having trained in a leading Structured/Project Finance team
- Experience of PFI assets

- Intermediate / advanced level financial modelling (Excel / Visual Basic).
- Knowledge of Project Finance structures, documentation and risk issues (including Insurance products / requirements).
- Good analytical and credit assessment skills.
- Strong interpersonal qualities and negotiating ability, as well as good internal coordination capability.
- Familiarity with the usual Microsoft Office applications (Word / PowerPoint etc).
