Senior Analyst / Assistant Portfolio Manager (Long Only) - Top 10 Regional Asset Manager (Asia Based) - Singapore, Asia
Our client is a Well Renowned Top Asian Asset Manager who is looking to beef up its fund management arm in Singapore. Selby Jennings is currently looking to assist their growth plans by looking for someone who can cover their Southeast Asian equity investments coverage. They are a key regional player in their Fixed Income arm and have hired Tier 1 Responsible Officers to establish their fund management operations in Singapore.
The firm is looking for someone with 5 years prior Equities Research experience to potentially come in either as a Senior Analyst or to be an Asst. PM with the lead researcher and portfolio manager of the fund.
The candidate will have a great opportunity in taking a lot of decision making in how the portfolio will look like in a 12 - 36 month timeframe. The Responsible Officers are very independent allowing the successful candidates a lot of flexibility in their decision making and trade generation and execution.
The main requirement would be the experience in covering either Southeast Asia or Asia Pacific either from a research role or asst. portfolio manager role.
Other pertininent requirements:
- At least 5 years of total work experience in a sell side, buyside / fund management platform.
- Strong financial modelling skills with great writing capabilities.
- Equities: Must have experience in generating trade ideas with Southeast Asian companies
- Good understanding of the market trends in Asia Pacific or Globally with good entrepreneurial mindset
- Exposure to RETAIL / INSTITUTIONAL CLIENTS is key as current investor base is Singapore, Asian based based.
