Senior Analyst, Business Performance
My client is a fast growing retail / hospitality business with a national presence.
They have an entrepreneurial and professional culture with good internal career prospects.
They are currently looking for a commercially minded qualified accountant to be a trusted Business Partner for their largest revenue generating division. Providing support to the Director and his Senior Management team, you will help them to understand financial performance and guide them towards the management actions that will improve their performance.
There is a separate Management Accounting team so the role involves no routine production of accounts. Key responsibilities include;
* Supporting CEO, CFO and Divisional Director on sales and margin performance
* Ownership of divisional PL to understand key movements
* Support budget process on a site by site basis to ensure business have clarity of their goals
* Provide training to retail management to help them understand financials
The ideal candidate will be a newly qualified accountant looking for their first move into industry in a highly commercial role. Exposure to retail, leisure or hospitality would be a bonus but not essential.
Polished communication skills and the ability to present to small groups is also key.
