Senior Analyst, CAD Job in Irvine 92614, California US
The CAD Analyst position has accountability for defining and developing CAD standards and best practices, developing training materials, training, and mentoring users. The CAD Analyst will participate in the implementation of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications and the integration of CAD data with PLM systems.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and know all aspects of CAD software applications supported.
- Provide technical support for advanced functionality available within the CAD software.
- Capable of configuring supported CAD applications and CAD data management tools.
- Create and manage CAD application deployments.
- Create training material, conduct training sessions, and provide user mentoring.
- Stay current on best practices for CAD software and systems.
The position requires a minimum of four years of hands-on experience with CAD tools. Additionally the candidate should have experience conducting user training sessions, implementations of CAD data management tools, creating CAD standards, authoring test scripts, and performing functional testing.
Preferred Experience:
- 5-7 years experience with a CAD application preferably Solid works and/or Pro/ENGINEER
- Experience in developing and maintaining CAD parts libraries
- Experience developing and implementing processes, policies, and procedures for CAD applications, CAD data management and governance.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing/Good Documentation Practices (GxP) processes is a plus
- Familiarity with FDA guidelines for Software Quality and Systems Validation is a plus
- Experience with CAD data management applications (Agile/Windchill/Teamcenter/Matrix one)
- Experience in the management of electronic products data including schematics, board layouts, and product software.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of 2D Drafting and 3D modeling practices
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GDT)
- Strong ability to manage and deal with different cultures and nationalities

- Ability to develop and maintain business and technical documentation
