Job Description

System Contracting and Contract Finance is responsible for the negotiation and management of contracts totaling approximately $4 billion in annual revenue to the system. The Senior Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting on hospital contract performance by payer and conducting ad hoc analytics to support both system and entity-specific initiatives. This requires the manipulation of large datasets, development of analytics and the ability to articulate findings in a clear and concise manner. The Senior Analyst will work under the direction of the Team Lead or Manager of Payer Reporting and Analytics, depending on the project.

1. Perform in-depth analysis and reporting for Ad Hoc requests to support the needs of our customers which include Acute Community Hospitals, ACC, Business Planning Marketing and Contracting
2. Responsible for building/automating infrastructure to support changing healthcare needs around analytics, inclusive of reporting, database build/maintenance of outpatient reimbursement logic and scenario modeling
3. Querying and analyzing large datasets, deriving and communicate accurate findings via written summaries and presentations. Continually seek to improve the process, speed and efficiency of mining the available data
4. Collaborate with peers to gain an extensive knowledge and understanding of the available data resources, system limitations, and flow of data within the systems while having the ability to understand and communicate how those pieces interrelate to our teams work/output. Serve on system migration workgroups and audit data output
5. Create, enhance and automate Payer Line Margin reports Presentations in a user friendly format utilizing AADW and Vision and articulate trends to all levels of senior management and peers as requested by Manager
6. Ensure data accuracy of Payer Line reporting; quality check files independently highlighting quarter to quarter P/L margin trends and drivers as well as changes between fiscal periods
7. Join Team Lead, as requested, in presenting semi-annual payer line performance, serving as a resource to address analytical and contractual concerns
8. Participate and lead cross-departmental projects and teams as directed

Qualifications

"€¢ Advance Microsoft Excel, MS Access SQL
"€¢ In-depth understanding of contractual methodologies, technical and professional billing logic and hospital charge masters
"€¢ Strong verbal and written communication skills
"€¢ Understanding of financial calculations and margin drivers
"€¢ Bachelor degree preferred with 5 years healthcare experience
"€¢ Ability to independently evaluate analytical needs varied by project request and anticipates potential data limitation, meeting with customers as necessary to clarify project scope and desired outcome
"€¢ Ability to work independently and within a group setting
"€¢ Ability to clearly articulate project scope and findings to all levels of the organization
"€¢ Consistently meet performance measures and Service Excellence Standards
