Senior Analyst Credit Research
Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), Edmonton. As a member of the fixed income credit team, you will perform fundamental credit analysis on companies issuing bonds and money market instruments in Canada. Through independent research and relative value analysis, you will make buy, sell or hold recommendations tailored to the policies and guidelines, of the Fixed Income and Money Market portfolios. You will proactively monitor the credit risk of your assigned issuers and sectors, with the aim of helping portfolio managers outperform their respective benchmarks. You will also meet with company management, industry analysts and rating agency analysts. The ability to develop collaborative relationships within and outside the organization is critical to becoming a successful member of this team.
Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Mathematics or a Masters of Business Administration; A minimum of 5 years direct experience in the fundamental credit analysis of corporate bonds and money market instruments at the institutional level; Completion of, or working towards, the Chartered Financial Analyst designation is required; Proficiency in financial modeling; Must be eligible to work in Canada.
NOTE: Final candidates will also be asked to undergo a security screening, which includes a credit bureau and a criminal record investigation, the results of which must be acceptable to AIMCo.
