The Team
Risk Management RBS provides credit risk management and business risk management support to the Retail Bank. This is achieved through developing strategies and policies which aim to optimise risk and reward within risk appetite.Customer Risk Solutions supports Secured Credit Risk, Unsecured Credit Risk and Credit Risk Data Analytics departments within Risk Management RBS in the areas of modelling solutions, systems implementation and project delivery.
The Role
You will be responsible for the implementation and testing of parameter changes within credit decision systems used by the Commonwealth Bank.
Main Duties
- Utilising product and credit system knowledge and experience, provide proactive input during the requirements gathering process for all projects and change initiatives
- Manage and execute changes to any of the credit systems as part of BAU and project development work
- Complete system testing using Test Harnesses and SAS comparison programs
- Identify and develop new system solutions to provide more efficient and effective results in terms of automated decisioning
- Facilitate the development of new decision infrastructure, data connectivity and new data sources which will assist in the management of loan impairment expense within Retail Products
Experience Required
- Tertiary qualification in a finance / mathematics / computer science based discipline with a focus on quantitative skills
- 2+ years of experience working in the Banking and Finance sector (preferably within Credit Risk)
- Experience in parameter credit scoring systems development (e.g. Triad/Strategy Manager/ Transact)
- Ability to communicate technical and business concepts in a clear and confident manner to all levels of the organisation
Experience Desirable
- Extensive experience in performing analysis of data (preferably using SAS and/or SQL)
- Recent experience in application of above skills in the banking and/or financial services industry
