Senior Analyst.
Support the Reserve Asset Management and Public Policy programs with quantitative and qualitative analysis of gold versus other major financial assets for presentation to central bank reserve managers, regulators, and other policy makers. The analyst will independently manage and provide all levels of support for our projects related to our certification programmes and regulation efforts.
Brief description of position
Reserve Asset Management
- Analyze gold against other major reserve assets on a quarterly basis for presentation to central banks via specialized reports and conference calls ( US Treasuries, Gilts, Euro bonds, Japanese bonds, CAD, AUD, etc)
- Create charts, presentations, and support development of papers and policy briefs.
- Provide project management support for the UC Berkeley Executive Program in Gold Reserves Management. This will include coordinating efforts of other firm staff from PR, Marketing, as well liaising with outside Professors, speakers, and others
- Independently develop and suggest new ideas for research and other insights on the gold market. Able to develop research independently.
Public Policy
- Analyze gold against other high quality assets to support campaigns for gold to play a role as a high quality liquid asset in various new global regulations.
- Provide support on presentations, charts, and policy briefs.
Skills Experience
- A passion for excellence and keen interest in global markets and the role of gold
- Able to juggle multiple projects and operate in an entrepreneurial environment
- Detail oriented, eye for consistency, accuracy, and perfection
- Outstanding analytical skills, as demonstrated with experience at top tier investment bank, buy-side firm, hedge fund, or consulting firm
- Central bank/regulator experience a major plus
- Experience with Barclay’s aggregates a plus
- Bloomberg terminal experience required, Haver and other data programs a major plus
- Top tier Bachelors degree in Economics/Finance/Business required, MBA/Masters/ CFA a plus

Backgrounds such as think tanks, or consultancies will be seen as preferential, along with good use of bloomberg, so this may well be your 3rd career move. Also beneficial is experience of reserves asset management and research into liquidity and other issues relevant to gold.
