Senior Analyst – Internal Control (Asia Unit) recruitment
Execute the internal control function within the businesses and activities under the scope of the Asia Internal Control Unit: Global Markets, Corporate Investment Banking (capital markets, structured finance, trade finance, MA, transactional banking) and new projects under development. Develop the operational risk management of the bank operations in Asia. Define and implement operational procedures and best practices in the region.
Key Responsibilites:
• To maintain the Bank’s model of internal control in the businesses under the scope: to keep updated the processes charts and the inventory of inherent risks and to test periodically the implemented controls assessing the consistency of the model.
• To indentify and quantify new risks arising by regulatory changes, new products and processes, new technological platforms and/or organizational changes.
• To maintain updated the operational risk tools and to analyze the results.
• To arrange and establish plans and actions with the involved departments to mitigate the identified weaknesses and non mitigated risks with the subsequently follow up.
• To define, formalize and maintain the operational procedures ensuring its compliance.
• To analyze specific processes indentifying weaknesses and aspects with room for improvement.
• Follow up of recommendations formulated for external and internal audits ensuring its implementation.
• To prepare periodical and ad-hoc reports on the evolution of operational risk and the internal control activity for the management of the area.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor Degree holder in Business or Finance
• MBA, MS or Post grade diploma with a focus in banking and financial markets is an advantage.
• 5 years experience in internal audit or internal control department of an international first class bank; or in well known external audit firm (big five) with a focus in banking or financial markets industry; or consultancy firm focused in banking processes or financial markets.
• Experience in banking and in financial markets operations, processes and products.
• PC literacy (Microsoft Office including word, excel and powerpoint)
• Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of Mandarin and/or Spanish are an advantage.
