The Senior Analyst is responsible for conducting data analysis on patient pharmacy programs in order to capture operational activity, determine program impact and identify areas for improvement. The data analysis will involve creating sophisticated queries to pull data from CVS Caremark data environments, as well as drawing insights from the output. This individual will also contribute to the design of client-facing and internal reports that demonstrate program impact on patient behavior and health outcomes. As new programs are designed, this individual will validate newly created data to ensure that accurate information will be available for reporting and analysis. This individual will also perform ad hoc analyses to measure program impact and evaluate options for overall program strategy.
Job Description:
The Senior Analyst is responsible for but not limited to:
• Analyze program data on intervention activity, patient behavior and program outcomes to measure program impact, identify areas for improvement, determine implications and form strategic recommendations. Data analysis will involve creating sophisticated queries to pull data from CVS Caremark data environments.
• Design client-facing and internal reports that are developed for programs that serve our patients and clients.
• Work with IT to ensure that as new patient programs are designed, data is generated and recorded to support future reporting and data analyses. Once new data fields and reports are created, this individual will work to validate that the information is populated accurately and meets reporting needs.
• Perform advanced quantitative analyses to inform key strategic decisions and define growth plans for patient programs
Requirements:
Qualifications for the Senior Analyst Position:
• Bachelor Degree Required. Master's Degree welcomed
• 5 to 8 Years
• Advanced data analysis skills, including extensive experience writing SQL queries to pull information from complex data environments.
• SAS experience is preferred
• Ability to clearly communicate analytical needs and results. Must be able to determine the most critical data elements to include in reporting and to develop the methodology behind the reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively within the team and with other teams to gather inputs, overcome obstacles and share results.
• Must be able to identify implications of analyses, determine their impact on strategy and recommend a course of action.
• Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with the capacity to identify and readjust priorities as needed
• High level of independent judgment and initiative; must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to effectively maintain a view of “big picture” business objectives while simultaneously understanding the detailed workings of a complex pharmacy program.
