( Senior ) Analyst (m/f) in Financial Institutions Coverage & Investment Banking recruitment

Main responsilities

Depending on the level of experience a candidate already has, he/she will be involved in the below tasks with an increasing level of responsibility:

Do company and industry analysis and prepare corresponding profiles output
Preparation of MA and cross-product investment banking client pitches
Research of relevant accounting (IFRS) and regulatory (Basel III / Solvency II) matters relevant for specific pitches
Help to develop transaction structures / structured solutions
Company valuations using relevant valuation methods (multiples, DDM, etc.)
Support in the day to day mandate execution; train and guide interns
Keep up to date on general FI industry trends as well as MA, debt and equity / regulatory capital related issues

Experience and technical skills

Excellent Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration
At least one full year working experience in MA/ Corporate Finance ideally with a bulge bracket investment bank and a focus on Financial Institutions
Strong numerical analytical skills are essential
Basic knowledge of the FI industry (i.e. Banks, Insurers, AM) and the corresponding regulatory framework
Very good command of MS office (particularly Excel PPT); ideally some valuations modelling skills
Ideally, good command of Bloomberg
Aptitude in accessing information from public sources
Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken) a must, any other language is a plus
