Senior Analyst, Product Lifecycle Management Business Data Job in Columbus 43085, Ohio US
To ensure the potential of the PLM system is realized a continuous improvement (CI) team has been formed within RD. The CI's primary role will be maximizing the return on investment of the PLM system through monitoring of key performance metrics, system or process improvements, driving user adoption, training and proliferation of PLM capabilities into other areas of Scotts' business. The Business Data Sr. Analyst will reside within the Global RD organization, but have very close alignment with the Global Business Process Transformation team and PLM Steering Committee.
This position acts as the business liason between the various business functions and the technical team. Responsible for working with technical team to design the processes, prepare the users and teach them how to use the system or enhancement where appropriate. Responsible for analysing and issues recieved from business and resolcing or escalating as appropriate.
Key Work Proformed:
- Support endusers from all areas of the organization related
- develop and evaluate proposals for software or process development related to SAP PLM
- Responsible for anlyzing and troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions or escalating as appropriate.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biology or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Experience in a consumer products company highly desirable.
Experience in product development highly desirable.
Experience working with business and technical teams highly desired.
Experience in the area of SAP and/ or PLM highly desirable.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of SAP highly desired
Knowledge of the product development process desired.
Skills and Abilities/ Competencies:
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express the rationale for selecting the best alternative to complete a task.
Ability to prioritize workload based on multiple factors.

Experience working on multiple products, activities and projects as a project team member and occasionally as a project leader.
