Senior Analyst, Quantitative Strategy recruitment
The Senior Analyst, Quantitative Strategy is an integral member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, working closely with senior management to develop, analyze and review business performance and strategic opportunities. A motivated individual with a demonstrated understanding of finance and accounting is required.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated an exceptional academic record, with a focus in an area related to corporate finance or mathematics.
Job Description:
o Develop comprehensive financial analyses of business performance and corporate activities, working closely with AIG's senior management
o Execute corporate projects of a strategic and financial nature, working closely with business unit management and other members of the corporate team (Finance, Comptrollers, Treasury, Tax, Accounting Policy, Risk Management, Investor Relations and Legal)
o Conduct analyses and craft presentations for AIG's senior management, Board of Directors and shareholders
Skills and Knowledge Needed:
o Bachelor's degree preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, engineering)
o Ability to multitask and work well under pressure, maintain strong attention to detail and prioritize work within tight deadlines
o Corporate finance, financial modeling, business valuation and accounting skills recommended
o Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
o Self-starter, quick-learner and flexible team-player
o Existing knowledge of Bloomberg a plus
o Demonstrate professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information
