Senior Analyst recruitment

Role and context

A team is being built under the leadership of the European Operations Director to help drive achievement of cost savings and operational improvements across all 14 operating companies that sit within the European region. 

Responsibilities of the business improvement team  include

The senior analyst role is to work as part of the Business improvement team with multiple operating companies to deliver material, lasting, measurable operational improvements and cost reductions.

Specific responsibilities

•  Production of qualitative and quantitative analyses for consulting projects undertaken by the team at any of the European OpCos where the team works. This involves working side by side with local OpCo team members to extract information, analyse business problems and develop fact based recommendations. 

oDevelopment of quantitative models and simulation tools

oGeneration of problem solving frameworks and approaches

•  Management of process for producing regular monthly and quarterly KPI reports on Excel. This includes development and dissemination of management information from these to Opcos and to Group Exco members.   Requires monthly liaison with dozens of stakeholders from across the EU14 OpCos and Group

•  Ad-hoc management analyses and presentations for BI team

Person Specification

Professional Experience, sector knowledge:

Business exposure/competencies: 

•  3-5 years total business experience, ideally gained within a top-tier consultancy or possibly within a commercially focussed finance team

•  Familiarity of the Telecoms sector including top and bottom line drivers

•  Strong “quant” capability

•  Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills (these will be tested as part of selection process)

•  Good understanding of consulting tools and methodologies
