We need a Senior Analyst to join a new team who will be responsible for managing day to day Interest Rate Risk tasks, providing governance and control across the bank. You will support the timely and accurate delivery of Santander UK''s balance sheet into our financial engine and for the production of relevant internal and external reporting to Senior Management, ALCO and Regulators. You will be supporting and assisting the ALM Operations Supervisor in overseeing a pro-active and interactive governance framework with other business stakeholders ensuring that the impact of Market, Product and Model change is captured in data outputs.

As a Senior Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
- Monitoring the risk management and reporting processes to ensure they operate within agreed SLAs and compliance standards
- Ensuring all exceptions to processes are escalated, investigated, actioned and resolved
- Maintaining controls and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Contributing actively to the production of Management Information, providing in depth analysis and commentary for decision making
- Engaging stakeholders across the Group to communicate risk to risk management processes and propose solutions
- Ensuring required Audit trails are in place in line with SOX controls
- Managing change
As a Senior Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Extensive knowledge of Retail, Treasury/Finance Operations gained through experience of working in Treasury Operations functions
- Good understanding of the ALM function gained through working as an analyst in interest rate and market risks
- Ideally hands-on experience of monitoring and reporting Interest Rate Risk metrics. Experience of regulatory reporting an advantage
- Knowledge of the operating model required to provide accurate and timely information for local ALCO, senior management and other internal departments
- Working knowledge of QRM or similar would be preferred
- Knowledge of operational risk and SOX compliance requirements would be an advantage
- Knowledge of business process mapping and process improvement methodologies and techniques would be an advantage
- Strong analytical skills
Location: London
Salary: £45,000- 50,000
