Responsibilities:

• Assisting Co-Directors of Research to conduct on-site and conference- call due diligence meetings with leading hedge fund and managed futures investment managers
• Creating and executing qualitative and quantitative analyses on investment managers
• Writing formal institutional-quality research reports related to manager due diligence and general alternative investment industry topics
• Building new investment manager relationships within existing industry network
• Communicating with Sales and Marketing teams regarding processes and specific investment topics
• Contributing to ongoing departmental needs that require inter-departmental teamwork

Requirements:

• At least five years of direct due-diligence experience with hedge fund and/or managed futures investment managers
• Knowledge of multiple alternative investment strategies, including trading of financial instruments
• Broad knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, institutional quality due diligence practices
• Hands-on quantitative abilities to review and evaluate manager performance and portfolio holdings
• Advanced Excel knowledge (essential)
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Undergraduate degree , preferably from a leading university
• Cover letter and writing samples are mandatory

Preferred:

• Post-graduate degree, preferably from a leading university
