Quantum Reservoir Impact, LLC has an opening for a Senior Analyst- Reservoir Management at its facilities in Houston, Texas to perform the following duties: Apply principles of reservoir
engineering including well test analysis, petrophysical log analysis, SCAL, PVT, decline curve analysis and material balance to oversee development plans, reserves analysis (deterministic, probabilistic depending on customer needs) and economic evaluation. Perform data integration from multi sources of information (seismic, well data, core data, etc) to build robust geostatistic earth models and perform dynamic validation based on maturity of the field (i.e.
history matching for brownfield, analog matching for greenfield). Develop optimal offsets for well perforated intervals to natural fluid contacts such as water-oil contacts and gas-oil contacts to limit coning and channeling. Create a depletion plan with strict guidelines regarding the rate of fluid movement in the reservoir. Determine causes of fluid breakthrough in wells. Evaluate
drawdowns, and fluid rates, to control the near wellbore effects of coning or channeling. Evaluate various completion technologies to restrict fluid entry and improve wellbore isolation (e.g. external packers and equalizers).Perform and run diagnostics on numerical simulation including black oil, compositional, thermal
compositional, dual porosity and stream line to build and evaluate complex reservoir simulation models to help clients identify
opportunities and improve reserves; Develop probabilistic
production forecast using experimental design and statistical
techniques to help clients understand the risk pertaining to the
uncertainties of the information, the range of the outcome and the impact to the business decision so that the best placement for new well and workovers in reservoirs is achieved.Utilize common Industry software such as Gocad, Petrel, Eclipse, VIP and Frontsim for reservoir modeling and simulation. Develop oil column
thickness maps that are unperturbed by near well effects. Provide a volumetric estimate of bypassed oil and infer sweep efficiency. Salary commensurate with backround. Requirements: Master's
degree in Petroleum Engineering, 3 years of experience in the
research, development and application of advanced reservoir
simulation models.
