Senior Analyst – Revenue MI recruitment

As Senior Analyst your major accountabilities will include:

• Take on full responsibility for the delivery of actual monthly revenues, including the monthly accruals, and forecasting and budgeting for the areas of revenue covered. 

• Coordinate inputs to revenue model between the various Finance teams involved and ensure static data such as fee rates are kept up to date and reconciled back to client IMAs on a periodic basis.    

• Provide full variance analysis and commentary on areas of revenue covered, including understanding the drivers for the movements in FUM.

• Understand analytics behind and ability to investigate issues relating complex revenue streams. Identify issues requiring escalation/remedial action. Ensure these actions are followed through and completed in a timely manner. Particular focus on our internal client and the associated revenue streams.

• Calculation of Performance fees with full understanding of the complex modelling to support the calculation.

• Co-ordination with our internal clients for purposes of billing and agreement of balances to book.

• Be the first contact for the “core” Finance teams, including the business partnering team, offshore team and relevant business area managers for the areas covered to assist in the understanding of the revenue streams.

• Co-ordination with overseas finance staff in agreement of our intrafee revenue shares across the global business.

• Working with other Finance teams to maintain and enhance efficiency within existing processes and support the introduction of new processes, promoting the use of automated solutions as appropriate. Ensuring timely, accurate, concise financial and management information.

• Helping to embed relevant financial disciplines and best practise across the business including the identification and implementation of relevant financial controls. 

As Senior Analyst your skills, experience and qualifications will ideally include:

• Qualified Accountant (or equivalent)

• Experience in either Financial or Management accounting – preferably in a business facing environment

• Strong analytical skills and ability to understand the drivers and investigate variances on complex revenue streams.

• Understanding of financial systems and processes

• Excellent networking and communication skills, enabling the role holder to engage across the business, analyse information, and to establish maintain effective relationships

• Proven ability to work with large volumes of data from a number of different sources

• Tenacious – shows a strong desire to follow issues through to resolution

• Knowledge of basic planning, budgeting forecasting techniques principles

• Microsoft Office skills including strong Excel experience, and ideally TM1, to optimise the use of automated solutions

• Previous experience within the asset management or financial services industries would be preferable

• Experience in initiating process improvements, overcoming obstacles and using analytical skills

• Experience of defining and implementing solutions to client requirements
