Senior Analyst – Risk Portfolio Manager recruitment
Within this role you will be responsible for producing and reviewing risk analysis, developing risk measurement tools, defining the energy market risk governance framework and validating key business models. You must be able to solve complex problems through your in depth understanding of risk concepts and innovative thinking in order to provide quick and efficient solutions. In addition you will need to support the operational and market risk teams in resolving issues with existing risk reporting processes, whilst providing expert input to the model validation process to assess the impact on existing risk processes and models.
You will be expected to ensure new and updated risk indicators and tools are implemented within reporting processes in a reliable and controlled manner. Previous coaching or team leadership experience is highly desirable as you will lead the implementation of risk indicators and tools developed by Portfolio Market Risk and assist in training of end users to enable competent use from first day of operational handover.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the energy sector and/or experience of another professional risk function and have a demonstrable track record of identifying areas for improvement in processes and technical solutions. You must be educated to a high standard in a numerate subject.
