Senior Analyst – Sovereign Institutions Group recruitment
The Sovereign Institutions Group was set up to grow, manage and promote the coverage of the Sovereign Institutions viz Sovereign Wealth Funds, Central Banks, Government Pension Funds and multi-lateral agencies.
We require an analyst to join the team to be responsible for researching, developing and co-ordinating strategy as well as to manage tactical initiatives and maintain databases for the Sovereign Institutions Program.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform research on Sovereign Institutions, industry statistics and develop projections on where the industry is heading.
- Analyze and maintain Sovereign client and prospects database, revenue breakdown, product penetration, client coverage and year on year progress.
- Develop a list of tactical initiatives and monitor progress for each initiative.
- Project manage the rollout of tactical initiatives with individual lines of business.
- Project manage the creation of a medium term strategic plan for the sovereign segment and keep it current.
- Provide support to Businesses and Sales Training teams in developing and fine-tuning external client training seminar agendas. Support Client Academia and Road Shows Work with Corporate Marketing, Sovereign Advisory Board (SAB), and coverage team members to produce segment-specific marketing collateral (product briefs, sell sheets, presentations, etc.) to position the company as a leader in financial services for the segment.
- Distribution of general communications materials relating to the segment, including company-wide communications, internal and external press releases, newsletters and other materials enhancing business development.
- Facilitate periodic SAB meetings – Assist with agenda creation and distribution, minute the meetings and follow up on open items.
Requirements:
- Good Bachelor's Degree or Master’s in Business or Finance.
- 5 years’ experience in a financial institution preferably with some exposure to fund management.
- Background in research would be useful.
- Understanding of the financial services industry with broad knowledge of institutional products.
- Good project management skills.
- Good problem solving skills and able to think outside the box.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English with excellent writing skills.
- Able to work independently in a matrix reporting environment.
