Senior Analyst/Associate Banker, Belgrade recruitment
Role Overview
The Senior Analyst/Associate Banker role is to provide support to the project preparation process under direct and continuous supervision from Operation Leaders. This position is based in Belgrade - Serbia.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Research and analysis of background information for different companies or sectors;
- Participate in the promotion of Bank activities and contribute to project identification and generation;
- Attending meetings with clients together with senior bankers. Liaise with clients, local authorities, EBRD sector teams and support units and other parties as required;
- Drafting of investment proposals or specific assigned portions of the Bank's project documents and when appropriate, assist clients with business plan preparation;
- Analysis of credit and financial aspects of project development, including performing detailed financial analysis of companies, financial modelling as well as supporting senior bankers in project structuring and negotiations;
- Undertake the monitoring of existing Bank investments, loan administration and monitoring of project implementation including preparation of monitoring reports based on meetings with clients, site visits, financial review, etc;
- Undertake any other assignment that may be given by senior staff, such as contributing to the preparation of briefs, country economic assessments, strategy documents and translation.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- University degree in business administration, economics, finance, or other relevant disciplines;
- 3-5 years of relevant business experience (banking, finance, accounting, audit or project finance) gained from a major commercial/investment bank, equity fund, advisory services or corporate finance firm;
- Strong credit analysis skills, ability to interpret accounts, understanding of accounting principles and IFRS;
- Proven analytical skills i.e. understanding of business models and key business drivers, strong quantitative and financial skills with ability to design financial models;
- Computer literacy, conversant with Microsoft Office and in particular MS Word and MS Power Point, including spreadsheet packages and financial modelling tools;
- Very good written and oral communication skills in English.
