The Senior Application Developer is responsible for the Design, development, testing and debugging of Applications in a data warehouse related environment. The Senior Application Developer is also responsible for the documentation of new custom solutions and for their successful move to production.
- Participates in conducting analysis, design, and implementation of applications in a data warehouse environment to meet specified design requirements and specifications
- Investigates standard systems applications, conduct analysis of system specifications and program coding
- Translates applications design specifications into software applications
- Participates in the preparation of detailed systems design specifications to meet defined requirements
- Perform unit testing and full systems testing, ensuring results meet customer requirements
- Prepare application(s) for release through the change control process
- Coordinate activities with team members for successful transition of application to the ?delivery? team
- Knowledge of academic field(s) or discipline(s):
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience.
o Incumbent possesses and has demonstrated specialized systems and programming knowledge with 5 - 10 years experience in systems analysis/application programming.

Mandatory qualifications:
- Solid Oracle experience 9i, 10g and 11g - at least 5 years.
- Solid SQL / PL /SQL experience - at least 5 years.
- Solid Relational database Design Mainly Oracle ? at least 5 years.
- Sound understanding of Data warehouse Concepts - at least 5 years.
- Sound understanding of OLAP (Dimensional and Multidimensional) at least 3 years
- Strong application development skills (UNIX, Perl) ? at least 3 years.
- General knowledge of Distributed Computing and Systems.
- Oracle Warehouse Builder knowledge is an advantage.
