Fraud Product development is responsible for building the Falcon product which protects financial institutions against first party and third party fraud. It generates in excess of 100 million dollars of revenue per year and is sold within the United States and globally.
Falcon combines software and rules technologies with leading edge analytical techniques to identify potential fraudulent activity occurring at a financial institution. The product contains a Case Manager that enables Fraud departments to effectively manage fraud cases from discovery through to closure.
The successful candidate will join a team of highly skilled engineers to build the Falcon Enterprise Scoring and Rules Servers. The successful candidate will:
•Develop, debug, maintain, and support commercial application software.
•Developing, porting, testing and benchmarking high availability and performance database utilized by real time applications.
•Analyze, troubleshoot and tune Oracle/DB2 and Application code.
•Maintain technical documentation of database systems, programs and applications.
•Determine and execute development tasks for change requests.
•Attend project and Business Application team meetings.
•Building and maintaining working relationships with technical counterparts across functional teams.
•Collaborating with other functional groups within the organization on features and functionality implementation.
•Analytical problem solving ability.
•A thorough understanding of vertical applications and databases.
•Experience developing, debugging, maintaining, supporting commercial application software.
•Experience optimizing application software.
•Building commercial quality software.
•Mentor team members for valuable technical advice and be a resource for in-depth technical discussions and also act as the ‘go-to’ technical expert for database issues and emergencies.
Qualifications:
•A minimum B.S. degree, or equivalent, in a technical field (Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)
•10+ years of experience.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
•Work out of the San Diego office.
•May be required to work outside normal business hours.
•May be required to assist in taking customer calls.
•Proficiency in the following: C, C++, Java, multithreading programming, Unix, shell programming, Semantic databases, web applications stack.
•Experience working with complex, high transaction-based systems.
