Senior Area Manger Job in London, London Uk

Our client, a well-established and recognised brand, has an exciting vacancy for a Senior Area Manager. This position will have responsibility for stores in the London region of the UK. In this role, you will have a direct influence on the direction of the business. This will be achieved through defining, implementing, influencing and achieving the retail strategy, proactively identifying retail opportunities, inspiring and directing the retail teams, building strong relationships with central functions and becoming an advocator for the brand.

 

Key Accountabilities:

For the London Region:

·         Retail sales versus budget and last year

·         Retail contribution versus budget and last year (all controllable costs with particular focus on staff costs)

·         Retail conversion versus budget and last year

·         Mystery shopper satisfaction rating in line with company expectations

·         Retail external sales versus budget

·         Accountable for achieving budget average transaction value (through store selling skills - consideration for changes to company promotional calendar as agreed by Exec team in Trading meeting)

·         Accountable for achieving budget footfall figures (responsible for windows displays to be in line with company visual brand guidelines – consideration for changes to company promotional calendar, external market factors)

·         Actively market the London region to maximise sales opportunities

·         Role model for the company behaviours

·         Effectively and efficiently project manage store openings/closures

·         Engagement results in line with company targets

·         Performance management / Succession retail team

·         Ad hoc projects as required i.e. implementation of new brand positioning within stores

 

Key Activities:

·    Attending and inputting at Trade and other meetings which have a direct impact on retail i.e. Brand, Promotions, VM, Selection as necessary

·    Responsible for ensuring appropriate, relevant retail team communication in their region from providing the right direction, company updates, team meetings, two-way feedback, collating ideas/suggestions for results to be achieved

·    Identifying new sites for new stores within their region

·    Driving, measuring and reviewing KPIs

·    Setting and ensuring adherence to legal and company standards, policies, procedures processes

·    Responsible for the performance management process of retail teams (driven through coaching and development of Senior Store Managers including development of store teams).

·    Develop, review and improve (where needed) store financial reports – in conjunction with IT

·    Creating motivating incentives for retail teams

·    On brand Store environment including new store build/development, maintenance/delaps of existing portfolio of stores, development of internal store fixtures and fittings

·    Reviewing store contribution and rent agreements proposing closures where appropriate

 

 

Required Skills/Experience:

 

·         Operating at a Senior level

·         Multi-site experience

·         Strong retail experience –  sales focus desirable, culture change advantageous

·         Great achievements
