JOB TITLE: Senior Asset Manager About The Company Headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, The Pantry, Inc. is the leading independently operated convenience store chain in the southeastern United States and one of the largest independently operated convenience store chains in the country. Job Description Manages a dynamic team of Portfolio Managers whose focus is maximizing value for the organization through lease negotiations and restructuring. Strategically analyzes large portfolios and provides recommendations to senior management. Duties include lease negotiations, asset management, administration lease reporting and controls. Scope/Key Responsibilities 1. Leads the Commercial Portfolio team providing guidance, direction and expert advice. 2. Modifies and restructures lease terms and conditions to maximize enterprise value. 3. Establishes and cultivates long term relationships with internal and external partners. 4. Assists in valuation of assets as a part of lease negotiations. 5. Makes recommendations and assists in the coordination of property improvements designed to complement leasing strategy. 6. Manages retail property lease transactions and/or asset management while building and fostering positive landlord relationships. 7. Performs other job-related tasks and projects as assigned. Required Experience - 5-7 years experience in commercial real estate/lease negotiation, including familiarity with various types and formats for lease agreements. - Proven success in building effective teams. - Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to cultivate long term client relationships. - High degree of business acumen. Degree Requirements Bachelor of Arts Discipline Bachelor?s Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of formal education and experience-based learning. MBA preferred. Certifications Certificates Licenses: CCIM preferred ( Certifed Commercial Investment Member) Physical Requirements * Physical Demands: Work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking and use of keyboard/computer. Work requires occasional bending, reaching and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds. Work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions can be stressful. * Working Conditions: Normal office environment with little or no exposure to adverse working conditions.
