Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Senior Associate to join our high profile client.

Our client is an advisory and asset management firm based in London. They  advise leading financial institutions and corporates on corporate finance and capital markets transactions including the sale and acquisition of companies and asset portfolios and on capital-raising and structured financing.

This role sits next to the two main directors on the analysis team who work on active strategies in the market they analyze delas in the UK and Europe as well as raising capital for clients.

We are looking for a candidate who can take the lead in executing transactions, managing all aspects including preparing proposals to the client, managing the due diligence process, modelling the financial projections, preparing transaction marketing materials, conducting discussions with counterparties, negotiating documentation and effectively communicating with the client.

I am looking for a candidate with strong academic qualifications, a proven track record of performance in a leading bank, accounting firm or a financial institution a thorough understanding of financial markets; a candidate who is diligent, confident, who takes the initiative and can clearly articulate arguments both orally and in writing; who can communicate effectively with clients, manage junior team members and work well with senior bankers and advisers.

Candidates MUST have:

• 3 years’ experience in Private Equity, Advisory services or a bank (or asset manager)
• Degree in Finance or Economics
• Valuations experience
• Financial Modelling
• Experience of pitching and pitch books
• Strong understanding of structured finance, private equity and real estate finance.

This role suits a mid level FI analyst in an IB or fund who is looking for a further move into a role which offers serious responsibility from day 1. The firm offers excellent bonuses and experience from a well-known subject matter expert.
