Senior Associate
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and working closely with the University communications staff, this individual has responsibility for the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal and external HMC communications on a range of topics ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely information across all communication channels. The individual will coordinate, write and edit, as needed, press releases, letters to alumni, leadership presentations, and other high-level communications. He/she must be comfortable undertaking independent research projects related to a variety of HMC Board topics and discussions (including highly confidential topics) and will be charged with producing high quality memos and materials for Board and Committee meetings. He/she will also be responsible for updating and drafting new material for the HMC website, and other investment and company communications, including topics researched by HMC’s Vice President – Sustainable Investing.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Excellent professional writing and editorial skills for web and print publications
Attention to detail in both language and numbers
Experience in and understanding of investments of various types
Facility with desktop publishing, as well as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word
The ability to work productively on multiple projects and meet deadlines without fail
High quality standards regarding both the content and appearance of his/her work
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience working in an investment management firm preferred
Bachelors Degree; MBA a plus
