Senior Associate Banking recruitment
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure that the ongoing supervision of an assigned portfolio of banking institutions is handled with efficiency.
• Ensure that strong constructive relationships are developed with the institutions assigned to him/her.
• Establish a pro-active, risk mitigating supervisory approach.
• Be alert to issues that require escalation and ensure the timely flow of management information within the Regulatory Authority.
• Keep the Associate Director informed of all material regulatory matters and developments.
• Work closely with other Divisions to resolve issues arising from the institutions that he/she supervises.
• Assist, where required, with the development of prudential policy.
• Work with other Divisions to ensure that the Regulatory Authority remains at the forefront of regulatory developments, and assist in the application of new policies in supervisory activities.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a prudential risk based supervisory environment
• A Bachelors degree in the field of finance and/or commerce.
• Relevant industry certifications will be an added advantage.
• A strong understanding of risk and risk management practices, including general corporate governance issues with a focus on the financial responsibilities of boards and audit committees.
• Strong practical analytical skills.
• Strong professional communication skills.
• Strong ability to comfortably inter-act at senior levels.
