Senior Associate – Commercial Lending
POSITION SUMMARY:

Roynat Capital is currently seeking a Senior Associate for its Moncton District Office in Moncton, NB.
As a key member of the team, you are responsible for the effective and profitable management of a portfolio of small and medium size business customer relationships, and for achieving personal and team business volumes to meet pre-set targets. Being a valuable representative of the company, you are also responsible for the management and expansion of an assigned portfolio of accounts and are expected to service customers providing the highest professional standard. You are also responsible for managing and controlling an assigned loan portfolio to ensure it is at an acceptable level of risk and generates an appropriate return.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
You will be:
- Developing and maintaining a regular sales call program on customers to ensure effective management, retention, and expansion of each customer relationship.
- Identifying, researching and calling on prospects to establish a credit relationship and building a comprehensive data base file for each prospect.
- Maintaining a current and thorough knowledge of Roynat Capital's specialized term lending services, leasing subordinated debt and mezzanine financing solutions, to effectively promote tailored presentation packages to meet specific customer needs.
- Researching, verifying and analyzing credit applications and preparing comprehensive credit applications of large and complex transactions meeting company guidelines.
- Monitoring all assigned accounts to ensure conformity to terms and conditions, as stipulated in credit authorizations. Applying diligence to collecting on overdue accounts as reported on the monthly Late Payment Report.
- Identifying deteriorating credit quality, participating as necessary in the resolution of problem loan situations.
- Maintaining a solid client relationship on assigned client base, keeping an awareness of the affairs of customers, ensuring administration of the accounts is timely (reviews) and a comprehensive database of activities is maintained.
- Participating in coaching new staff including assigned Trainees on credit administration or products.
QUALIFICATIONS
As our preferred candidate you will have:
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of credit products and related policies.
- Superior skills in financial analysis and risk assessment including proven credit judgment.
- Awareness of differences in the tax, legal and accounting rules of the various jurisdictions.
- Ability to plan strategies and activities up to 12 months in advance.
- Strong understanding of a wide variety of industries and markets which require specialized knowledge.
- Ability to implement a comprehensive marketing program to maximize the potential of an assigned territory.
- Proven selling and negotiating skills in handling complex selling situations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative and aggressive sales strategies.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with customers, staff and in dealing with the community generally.
- General Computer knowledge to effectively use various computer software applications.
EDUCATION AND ACCREDITATIONS:
- Ideally possess a University degree in business, finance, economics or 3-5 years related banking or business experience.
