Senior Associate Equities
We are a Dubai based investment/family office dedicated to performance and excellence, focusing on capital preservation and long-term capital growth. We manage a global multi-asset class portfolio consisting of liquid, semi-liquid and illiquid investments.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate Public Equities to analyze, review, monitor, source, follow up and implement Equity investment ideas. Equity investments are implemented primarily through external managers, sector funds, indices, and ETFs.
Key responsibilities will include among others:
- Actively co-manage the public Equities strategy via the development of macro themes, regional, country, sector and micro analysis and outlook, backed by supporting research (quantitatively, qualitatively and technically) while assessing and monitoring all types of risks: correlation, tracking error, currency and volatility risk;
- Conduct pro-actively detailed and in depth research, source, evaluate, recommend and implement investments suitable to the public Equities portfolio using bottom-up fundamental analysis in order to deliver positive, risk-adjusted returns versus benchmarks;
- Perform high-quality, detailed and timely external fund/manager due diligence and research on the public equity universe suitable to the public Equities portfolio in order to deliver positive, risk-adjusted returns versus benchmarks;
- Update, aggregate and prepare data or reports as needed by the supervising Manager;
- Develop and maintain a high level of understanding of financial risks and market opportunities
- Manage, maintain and develop pertinent industry contacts;
Position Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a degree in a relevant discipline and a CFA/CAIA/FRM qualification (or be working towards such a qualification) in particular with knowledge and relevant experience in equities. Due to the highly analytical nature of this role, strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills are a must, as are excellent verbal communication skills. A minimum of 5 years’ experience is a pre-requisite, ideally 7/8 years. Preferably as an equity analyst/portfolio manager in an asset/wealth management company.
