We are currently seeking a Senior Associate, for the Federal Financial Management practice to join us in our office in Tysons Corner.
As a Financial Management professional, you can help businesses in strengthening their finance operations by improving transparency, information integrity, and controls to help build and maintain stakeholder trust. We also help support their efforts to apply the finance discipline that can drive performance and lower costs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Integrated Planning and Budget Submissions activities that may include the following functions: prepare budget exhibits and Congressional Budget Justification Books, prepare budget allocation recommendations, and develop spend plans
- Perform budget execution activities which may include the following functions: review and analyze agency spend plans; participate in the triennial review process including validity of obligations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; track, control and report on obligations and expenditures; control and track apportionment, allocation, allotment, and obligation of funds
- Prepare external budget execution reports and financial statements submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Treasury
- Execute funds control activities to help ensure budget execution aligns with OMB apportionments and Congressional limitations
- Prepare budget execution policies and procedures for funds distribution, funds control, and proprietary and budgetary reporting
- Translate budgetary cycle activities into systems requirements
Qualifications:
- Three years of federal budget experience including budget formulation either in Department of Defense or the Intelligence Community, budget execution, and budget planning
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; CPA and/or Certified Government Financial Manager designation preferred
- Familiarity with planning, programming, and budgeting system requirements and annual budget cycle activities
- Substantive experience with funds distribution, funds control, and reporting such as Standard Form-133 and related external budgetary reports and financial statements, including apportionment, reprogramming, both proprietary and budgetary reporting, and writing related policies and procedures
- Active TS/SCI clearance; CI poly desired
- U.S. citizenship required
