Senior Associate, Marketing and Events recruitment
Our client is an innovative, premium global investment firm who are expanding their foot print in Asia. They need you, an experienced Marketing and Events Manager to join their team to manage the coordination and enhancement of a broad range of marketing material for a variety of clients based in the Asia region. You will be working in a boutique environment and the job scope will offer you variety, security and autonomy.
This position will be responsible for the planning, development, management and execution of all client events. Events include: conferences, study groups, trade shows and other client events. As the Marketing and Events Manager you will further be responsible for the design and delivery of a high calibre, consistent client experience while overseeing budgets, timelines, logistics and venues.
Responsibilities:
Marketing focused responsibilities:
- Determine the most effective marketing materials to be used
- Ensure consistency of the investment firm's message and application for marketing materials, including: presentation books, white-label slides, conferences, on-demand videos, and client presentations
- Develop a streamlined process for ongoing creation and innovation of marketing materials
- Proactively partner with a variety of internal stakeholders to identify and support the needs of clients
- Ensure all materials are Compliance approved
Event focused responsibilities:
- Design and develop all aspects of client events
- Deliver a creative and innovative approach to existing events
- Comprehensive planning and execution of both small and large scale events
- Create metrics and measures to evaluate event success. In turn, interpret and utilize the data to improve future events
- Hands-on involvement from pre-event management to post-event follow through
- Identify and schedule internal and external speakers
- Facilitate and negotiate all logistical aspects of event management (e.g. site selection, vendor management, travel and hotel reservations, catering, setup/breakdown)
- Manage budget review process for conferences
- In-depth knowledge of national venues
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 8 years combined experience across marketing and corporate event planning
• Marketing and events experience that has been acquired within an investment management or general financial services environment is highly desirable
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of a corporate event life cycle - from site selection, vendor management, travel and hotel reservations, catering, setup/breakdown
• Able to create metrics and measures to evaluate event success and plan for future events
• Able to quickly learn the client's investment philosophy and apply it practically to all marketing material and general communication
• Finely tuned ability to plan and execute both small and large scale events
• Able to manage the budget review process for conferences
• In depth knowledge of local venues
• Strong background in both digital and print marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work efficiently with tight deadlines
• Proven track record in building strong internal and external relationships
• Is able to prioritize and manage large work volumes
• Bachelor's degree required
